HardWare Compression Technology
What is hardware Compression?
In simple terms, "compression" is the method of how video files are stored and accessed. The majority of DVR products and systems use software based compression. iViD Hardware Compression offers faster data speeds, smaller file sizes and superior picture quality for video playback and network transmission. There is no degredation of image quality when viewing images over any network and the images are sent at far greater speeds due to the small file sizes. iViD Hardware compression uses minimal system resources making it the most reliable Digital Video Management system available on the market today.

Synchronous Raid Technology
Mission Critical Raid Protected Video Storage
iViD offers unrivalled archiving ability. iViD is capable of storing up to 500 days of video from 16 cameras in a single enclosure. Unlimited storage is possible through the use of iViD Storage arrays. iViD now uses Netcell's Patented Synchronous Raid technology in all it's systems. With Synchronous Raid, a hot spare drive is included. Therefore, if a single drive fails, the redundant data, on the remaining drives, relocates automatically to the hot spare and begins the re-build process without user intervention. iViD will alert a drive failure locally and remotely and the failed drive can simply be Hot-Swapped without any data loss.
